In general the answer is no.  Sometimes something light and out of sight (under 100 lbs in the trunk) will not be rejected by the driver.  The reason packing your car of personal items can present a problem is that the Department of Transportation will not allow car carriers to transport household goods.  Moving companies pay tariffs to the government to haul household goods.  Because of this moving companies must have a different operating authority to transport household goods.  Auto transporters do not have the proper operating authority to move household items. 

There are other considerations that should deter you from putting personal items in your vehicle prior to shipping.  Please keep in mind that the trucks insurance will not cover your personal items.  Also the driver will not inventory your vehicle prior to shipping.  Anything left in the vehicle will be done so totally at your own risk.
